The botanical name for Narrow-leaved Red Ironbark is Eucalyptus crebra. It is most commonly called Red Ironbark, however, most do not know that there are two varieties - broad- and narrow-leaved. Narrow-leaved Red Ironbark is the most widely distrubuted of the Ironbarks, grown right across the belt extending between the southern Queensland coast and the Great Dividing Range. It is a reputed structural hardwood due to its long-term durability and performance in weather-exposed conditions.

What does Narrow-leaved Red Ironbark look like?
Like its broad leaved counterpart, Narrow-leaved Red Ironbark has a deep dark red to reddish brown heartwood but with a sapwood that is white to pinkish white. It also conversely displays a close grained texture.
